Love In Paris Perfume

Love In Paris Perfume: Review

When Nina Ricci introduced Love In Paris perfume to its lineup, it was clearly filling an unmet need that a group of Nina fans were not quenching with its other perfumes. Let’s quickly go through the uniqueness and beauty of this fragrance, and how it has appealed to a new market since its 2004 launch:

Feeling This perfume embodies a seductive, yet mature, night on the town! As a work of perfumer Aurélien Guichard, this fragrance is made for the happy fulfilled woman interested in celebrating her beauty in a vivacious way. This fragrance has all of the emotion of true love, without any overly fruity/syrupy smell to it – those that wear it often say it is one of the few fragrances, for which, even those around them that dislike smelling most perfumes do not mind inhaling for long periods of the night (or day). Upon first intake, Love In Paris provides a “luminous fresh floral” type of bouquet for your sensory pleasure. Observing closely, the different scents of velvet roses and opulent peonies can be drawn out. Finally, subtle hints of cedarwood and vanilla round out the fragrance’s experience.

Ingredients Primary – Luminous Fresh Floral Top – Bergamot and Star Anis Mid – Rose Petals and Peony Base – Vanilla and Cedarwood

Bottle Design Of all the bottles within the Nina Ricci collection, this may just be the simplest design of them all, which speaks to the more mature and refined customer for which Love In Paris perfume is designed. Its base is a slightly wider than taller rectangular shape with up-turned corners at the top. Written near the middle is the “Love In Paris” name in deep seductive purple, while a classic “NINA”/“RICCI” embossing can be seen at the bottom of the base. The base’s up-turned corners nearly meet up with the similarly down-turned corners of the cap, which curves nicely to the hand of the wearer. This bottle clearly marries practicality with subtle sensuality very nicely.

Campaign This fragrance is meant to embody the “magic of Paris in a bottle”. With that, the true promise of love that this magical city breathes is something that was desired within the advertising of this scent. In the television commercial below, a very simple setup is used to get across this emotion. A woman is shown in seductive poses, while holding an over-sized bottle of the fragrance, before transitioning to what appears to be inside the penthouse of a modern high-rise – our model (Christelle Lefranc) twirls around as an expression of the “joie de vivre” encapsulated by the city of Paris, and this perfume in its honor.

Love In Paris perfume is a fragrance made especially for the woman looking for a seductive, yet mature, expression. It delivers a very wearable scent that many perfume fans looking for something less abrasive or syrupy enjoy using on a daily basis. If you want to get a feel of the magic that is Paris, I suggest you try a bottle for yourself…
